Winter 22/23 Hotel Manager at Alpine Elements

Ski Resort: Tignes/Val d'Isère, France

Job Details

Head up our dynamic hotel team in either of our three hotels this summer: the Philibert and the Hermine Blanche in Morzine; or the Hotel Ski D’Or in Tignes. Play one of the leading roles within our programme and manage a team of approx 15 staff. Our medium size boutique hotels have 50 to 65 beds and year-round job prospects for winter and summer hotel management. You will benefit from a French contract and working Visa to enable better future work prospects and easier travel opportunities in Europe. This also ticks off the first step toward French residency.

As a manager in an Active Sports Hotel within a niche sector serving AB1 high net worth clients you will be a very important member of our team. Running an Active Sports Hotel requires a special set of skills (alongside those of managing a ‘normal hotel’) and these are skills that we will train you into: such as a working knowledge of the activities, our inhouse bike hire, Kids clubs and the sports pursuits available to our guests. As such, you will partake in many of these activities, have a genuine interest in mountain sports and be trained fully on how they operate.

Day to day

Whilst taking a strategic view towards the hotel operation we require our hotel managers to have commercial awareness, be accountable for budgets and finance and a motivation to identify new initiatives, improve standards and tailor our product and service to individual customer expectations. Your role will focus on maximising repeat custom from our clients and excellent feedback which is at the core of what we do. You will have to deal with problems and have the ability to find solutions under pressure. Planning, leadership, organisational, keeping a cool head and a natural flair for hospitality are all crucial skills.
