Come and join our hotel teams in either of our three hotels this summer: the Philibert,and the Hermine Blanche in Morzine; or the Hotel Ski D’Or in Tignes. Be a part of a professional hotel team of approx. 15 staff and learn valuable new skills. Our hotels are medium size boutique style properties with 50 to 65 beds and our guests return each year

The Alpine Elements kitchen team play an integral role in our holidays. Food is a hugely important part of what we do ad we ake our catering very seriously. You will report to the Head chef and hotel manager; and as a Kitchen Assistant you will be introduced to important kitchen duties like prepping, food display, stock control, health and hygiene and safety standards. This is the first rung on the ladder to a career in a kitchen leading onto commis chef, chef de partie and then sous chef,as you learn important skills from a highly experienced chef and kitchen team.

Night porter duties are required on a rota’d basis, so all kitchen staff will have at least one night a week as night porter. These duties take place after hours and through the night where you will remain on duty to assist guests and man the reception when the hotel is quiet; whilst also oing some kitchen prep duties, often for breakfast.

Requirements

Operational

Assist in providing all customer and staff meals (breakfast and dinner) in accordance with the company set menuAssistance with the service of the daily set menuAdopt a proactive approach to monitoring stock levels and assist in compiling ordersTo receive deliveries of food ensuring it is checked, stored away correctly and rotated effectively in accordance with HACCP regulations.Ensure high levels of Hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with UK and local lawsComplete daily kitchen-cleaning tasks including washing up dutiesRecord, Maintain and monitor daily HACCP recordsBe a team player, assist in all areas of the kitchen were required to ensure the efficient running of the kitchen at all times

Highlights

  • Prior experience of kitchen work is preferable but not essential
  • Learn high level kitchen skills from an experienced chef
  • The first rung to a kitchen career, leading onto Commis chef, Chef de partie and Sous chef

Quick Facts

  • Salary Gross from £1359 per month. (35+ hours a week)
  • Time off: generally 11am to 5pm each day plus two days off a week rota dependant
