A great opportunity for experienced hosts to run their own chalet catering for ski enthusiasts on off piste courses with Ski Club GB.
Ski Club GB are looking for experienced chalet hosts – ideally a couple or friends - to run our chalets in Flaine for the upcoming winter season. We offer an extremely competitive package and provide the unique opportunity to gain some great skiing experience with our team of local instructors.
The ideal candidates will be sociable, self-managing and organized. With our training, support and guidance you must be able to manage, cater for and clean the chalet, whilst coordinating and working alongside our UK office staff and Ski Club Reps. We run two chalets which sit side by side in the Hameau de Flaine, a short bus journey from the centre of Flaine hence the hosts will work closely alongside each other including creating the menus together, coordinating joint shopping and managing the budget.
Duties:
·         Meeting and greeting guests on changeover day, answering any guest queries and providing local knowledge 
·         Daily housekeeping of chalet
·         Weekly changeover of chalets to high standard
·         Prep and cook meals to a high standard taking account of any special requirements such as vegetarian meals and allergies
·         Maintaining a height standard of kitchen hygiene
·         Planning and ordering/shopping for food within budget – weekly drive to Cluses to collect groceries
·         Handle basic property management and maintenance needs (Co-ordinate local specialist suppliers if/when required)
·         Submitting receipts and any relevant admin such as weekly linen & bread order & timesheets 
·         Be responsible for ensuring that all budgets are adhered to and that all financial records are maintained for inspection
·         Keeping company vehicle safe and looked after
·         Snow clearing

Requirements

Skills and Experience Required:
·         Previous chalet work/seasonal experience – at least one season
·         Ability to cook high quality meals for between 9-12 clients, adhering to a strict budget and catering for any dietary requirements
·         Good attention to detail
·         Excellent time-management
·         Ability to work very hard all season long whilst remaining enthusiastic, cheerful and courteous to guests
·         Highly organized with good communication skills
·         French speaking (desirable)
·         Clean driving license
·         Enthusiastic skier/boarder
