Hotel Chalet Matsuzaka is a 10 bedroom chalet style 4* hotel in the Les Eucherts area of La Rosière 1850. Critically acclaimed, we rank 9+ in Booking, Expedia / Trip Advisor and we are unique with our beautiful Japanese Spa and original cuisine, based in the international resort area of Espace San Bernardo, La Rosiere 1850 is linked direct to Italy, La Thuile. This is a French based contract and only those who are able to work in Europe need apply (EU passport or working visa already obtained).
Entering into our 17th season, we are looking for a hard working person to work with our small flexible team, your responsibilities will be to deliver exceptional service to our multi-national clientèle and to ensure, above all, that their stay is as pleasurable as possible and exceeds their expectations.
All candidates will be assessed and we will also take into account those with limited experience. We offer good pay (French contract), 35hrs average, accommodation, ski lift pass and other benefits, you will be expected to assist in all aspects of the chalet duties. However with afternoons, and one or two full days off per week (depending on school holidays) there's plenty of time to ski/board in one of the most beautiful resort of La Rosière 1850.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring that all guests experience the highest possible levels of service, standards and attention to detail
* Room management – including cleaning, servicing the rooms every day, linen changes and maintaining quality standards of rooms
* Service during all meal times, including washing-up, assistance to chef, table service and delivery of the afternoon teas to rooms
* Additional “around the chalet” duties, e.g. linen management, reception, snow clearing,..
* Maintaining rigorous standards of cleanliness & hygiene in and around the chalet

Requirements
Essential:
- All applicants must hold an EU passport, EU working visa or carte de séjour
- High level of personal hygiene and attire in and around the chalet.
- Fully vaccinated
- Ability/experience of dealing with customers.
Prior experience in the hotel/restaurant industry will be advantageous.
Desirable:
- Preferred French language but not essential
- Previous experience in a ski resort / table service / cleaning/hospitality
- Maturity.
- Any other languages.
- This is a physically demanding job. Good fitness levels required.
Personal characteristics should include efficiency, enthusiasm and time keeping, being of the utmost importance to this role.
